This is where you can find pictures of the cigars we've been smoking, and a very short description of what/where/when and how long it took to smoke them.

Don Diego Corona Majors Tubo

Wrapper: Connecticut Shade
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Dominican
Vitola: Corona Majors (5.5 x 44)

Now under the umbrella of Altadis U.S.A., I found an interesting fact from their website;

Originating from the Canary Islands, and the first cigar made there after the Cuban embargo began...

Another interesting fact is this was the first premium, long filler cigar I ever smoked way back in 1995. So when I cam across one accidentally, I figured I had to grab one. A typical "old school" mild Connecticut Shade smoke. Very mild but did occasionally burn a bit hot. An "Angler" at best.

CyB Londsale Club

This one was plugged, as were several others in this size. I would say hold on this size, go with the robusto.

Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligan

Factory: Tabacos de Oriente
Wrapper: Nicaraguan Candela
Binder: Honduras & Nicaragua
Vitola: Toro (6 x 50)

You cannot have St. Patrick's day without having a green cigar. This year's pick was the AB Filthy Hooligan. The burn was extremely jagged and ash flacky but the draw was open and I had no issues. The profile had some of that grassy / herbal qualities you come to expect from a Candela but it was not over the top. The strength of the cigar was solid medium/full and the flavors enjoyable. This is one I would smoke again while working around the yard if it wasnt for the thiness of the wrapper (it feel apart on me in the last third). "The Angler"

L'Atellier Surrogates Crystal Baller

5 3/4 X 56 Box Pressed Toro
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano
Binder and Filler:  Nicaraguan
$8.00

I have been meaning to get my hands on and try the other vitolas offered by Surrogates since  had the opportunity to try the Skull Breaker during the fall.  That being said I think that this smoke was not nearly as good as the aforementioned cigar.  It has the pleasant toastiness that you would expect from the Habano wrapper, and had some nice spice.  But it lacked any real depth and was shockingly short on sweetness.  It also did not burn all that well.  I say give it a try and see if you like it.

Spanish Galleon Corojo Ninas

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Corojo
Binder: Dominican Habano
Filler: Dominican Republic, Nicaragua
Vitola: Perfecto (5 x 44)

This small perfecto had a nice mix of wood and spice. Performance was good. A solid "Angler" considering the price of less than $2.00 a stick when buying a box of 50.
