This is where you can find pictures of the cigars we've been smoking, and a very short description of what/where/when and how long it took to smoke them.

La Palina

This was a much better experience. Draw, burn and construction were spot on. What a great little smoke! Nice flavors, not over the top, but enough to keep your attention.

L'Ateleir Robusto

This one was really good, had a nice kick at the end I was not expecting. I'd smoke more, but would be okay with just a fiver, didn't wow me.

La Casita Criolla HCR

Wrapper: Connecticut Broadleaf
Binder: Connecticut Broadleaf
Filler: Connecticut Broadleaf
Vitola: Robusto(5 x 50)

This is the newest size in the La Casita Criolla series and I think it is my favorite. If you like the rich flavor of Broadleaf, then this 100% Broadleaf puro is for you. Gritty with flavors of espresso, cocoa, and a bit of saltiness. it had good performance and a few change up's in the profile. My recommendation is to dry box these though, as IMO the Broadleaf tends to soak up humidity like a sponge. A solid "Fiver"

La Duena No. 13 Box Pressed Toro Gordo

6 X 56 Box Pressed Toro Gordo
Wrapper: Ct Broadleaf
Binder: Connecticut and Nicaraguan
Filler:  Connecticut and Nicaraguan
$8.50

This is a blend that I have been a fan of since it's release in August 2012 at IPCPR.  So when they put out a new size I was all about giving it a try.  This vitola really exhibited a nice sweetness to balance the spicy Nicaraguan tobacco.  But prior to this the petite lancero was my favorite vitola and I have to say it still is.  But it is a fiver for anyone who likes a larger ring gauge.

San Cristobal Perfecto

The flavors were great, but the construction was horrible. I'd like to try another one to see, these were aged one gifted to us by Stogie Santa. I have to say, I like this blend a lot, though the flavors and construction seem to be inconsistent.
