This is where you can find pictures of the cigars we've been smoking, and a very short description of what/where/when and how long it took to smoke them.

Elogio Salamone

What a fantastic smoke! There are some salamones that have a very loose draw. Its not under filled per se, but the draw is very easy and produces thick clouds of smoke. This one was in that category. There are some salamones that are almost plugged (LFD), and some that smoke like perejo shape with a perfect draw (PG Salamone). I kinda like the loose, open draw. The flavors were awesome, spice, nice coffee flavor, richness, good kick thanks to the Ligero.

Four Kicks Torpedo

Here is the story (again), when these first came in to the shop I was excited. Everyone said they were awesome. I smoked one and it tasted like petroleum. Yuk. But, let these rest for several months and now they are great. Medium body smoke, burn was awesome, and a great woody flavor with a touch of sweetness.

El Rey Mundo Choix Supreme

Wrapper: Cuba
Binder: Cuba
Filler: Cuba
Vitola: Robusto (4 7/8 x 50)

This box was from 2012 and after struggling with the burn and draw on the first couple, I decided to dry box one before smoking it again. The stick performed well after a couple of days of dry boxing. The profile was mild/medium and was toasty, with that citrus twang up front and hints of coffee that would come and go. The last third became more spicy. Very enjoyable and approachable smoke that should age well. "Box Split"

2013 Tatuaje Cohete 2013

4 X 50 Short Robusto
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano
Binder and Filler: Nicaraguan
$9.00

This is a re-release of a sought after smoke from Tower cigars in Sacramento, CA.  The previous iterations were released in 2006 and 2009 and were very popular.  This time  there were 200 boxes of 25.  I jumped on a box of these as soon as I could.  The dominant flavor in this cigar is a oaky, woody flavor.  It also had a strong sweetness mixed with a pleasant earthy quality.  The strength is also very nice and balanced.  In my opinion, I can't wait to see how these age.  I think that this is a box-split by all means.

Arturo Fuente Chateau Fuente Cuban Belicoso Sun Grown

IMG 4942

This was a very enjoyable smoke, nice hints of cedar and earth. Its an easy smoke, not overly complex, but for around $5-$6 each you will not be disappointed. I put this in the same category as some of the Oliva cigars, easy to smoke, great flavors, great construction and a reasonable price.
