This is where you can find pictures of the cigars we've been smoking, and a very short description of what/where/when and how long it took to smoke them.

La Aurora Cameroon Lancero (new)

This one is fresh from the factory, and I love it! The aged ones are awesome, but brand new they also kick ass. I enjoyed every minute of it, a little spicier than the aged ones, but packs in the flavor. Buy a box, heck, buy two boxes.

San Cristobal Elegancia Churchill

The story goes I got a sample from an event given to me by a friend. I smoked it, and it was awesome. A little while later I bought a box. I started smoking them, and they were not as good. Fast forward almost 2 years, and now they are smoking awesome. They smell sweet and are a fantastic morning smoke!

Tatuaje 10th Anniversary Noella

5 1/8 X 42 Corona
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano
Binder and Filler: Nicaraguan
$7.50

To commemorate his ten very successful years in the industry Pete Johnson decided to release his original Brown Label Selecion de Cazador vitolas with a special band, a closed foot and in a wet packed cabinet.  Other than that they are supposed to be the same as the regular Brown Labels.  But I would have to say that he forgot to say that they have been aged (just my opinion).   First of all the box just poured out the coveted smell of aged tobacco.  Upon lighting the stick had a blast of cedar and chocolate.  It quickly picks up a berry sweetness that is a nice compliment to the existing flavors.  This smoke is a bit of a one trick pony, but what a trick.  This is box worthy all day, that only reason that I say it is not as good as the reserva is that it is not as complex.

Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial

Wrapper: Cuban
Binder: Cuban
Filler: Cuban
Vitola: Robusto Extra (5.6 x 50)

Released in 2008, these are based on the popular Edition Especial blend from 2004. (see ref). This is the last of the sticks gifted to me by Zedman (thanks again bro!). This start off mild/medium with some of the typical HdM profile. It began with some graham cracker and a faint amount of Cuban twang that came and went. This transitioned to some mild cedar and earth. The last third kicked up to a solid medium and there was some spice along with the cedar. Very enjoyable mild/medium bodied smoke that performed perfectly. Certainly, "Box Worthy" if you enjoy the HdM profile and milder strength Cubans like I do.

EloGio Serie LSV Robusto

Wrapper: Somoto Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Candega and Jalapa Nicaragua
Vitola: Robusto (5 x 50)

I recently ordered another box of the Elogio Habano's from Winston's Humidor in Virginia and I had them send me up a few of the LSV blend to re-sample in a different size. I had talked about the Corona Extra in Episode 21 but had never smoked any of the other sizes. Both Robusto's I smoked performed beautifully and had a really unique blackberry sweetness in the background. Medium in strength and body, this is a versatile smoke and a bargain at $6.25 a stick. I just ordered up a fiver of the Corona Extra to revisit soon and decide which size I enjoy more. "Box Worthy"
